Fraudulent sales presentation

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We purchased in your resort in November ONLY after your salesperson promised us that he could get us out of our HGVC if we brought the Hilton balance down to under $5000. We did so and are now being told that this is not the case.

We are being told that we have to have a 0 balance on Hilton, plus have to pay $1600 to get out of it. Your salesperson outright lied to us, we would not have bought it if he had not made us the promise. At this point we have no intention of using your resort, as you have shown to be dishonest in your sales presentation. He outright lied to us.

At this point we request:

1.

Cancel our Krystal membership immediately and give us a full refund (I did dispute the second payment we made in January as you outright lied to us

Or

2. Get us out of our Hilton contract as promised by your salesperson.

It is unfortunate that you have dishonest salespeople working for you.

Guaranteed I will get the word out for people to stay away from your resort. I am also going to report your unethical sales tactics to Booksi.

HORRIBLE SERVICE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My daughter and I went through the drive thru. We sat there for like 6 minutes mond you they had no customers it was like 9:23 Noone said anything we kept saying hello.

So we pulled to the window Noone came we sat the for a few minutes no one came as we pulled off this young lady came from the back looking at us smiling. We drove back around it took her like a minute to say what are yall getting I replied that's not a way to talk to a customer so her reply was yall getting something or not. First of all the front should never be left unattended. I've been a manager I'm the restaurant business rudeness is not tolerated.

Had we came during the daytime we wouldn't had this problem. Smart mouth teenagers should never be left unattended in a place I'd business. She was very rude. I told her I was going to call the store manager she said do I don't care .

Someone need to retrain this young lady about customer service and where was the staff and manager? I'm very upset I spend alot of money at Krystals to get treated me this from a child

You wrote Krystal Hotels. The only Krystal hotel I found was in Cancun.

Do you mean restaurants?

I don't know what their policy is about making lunch food at breakfast. Corporate could probably clear that up for you, so contact them.

She have you an answer, you just didn't like it. That's not rude... I Agree, go elsewhere.

Terrible

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Krystal Hotels - Terrible
Hello, My first day arriving to Krystal Cancun Room #1851 I had a leaking bathroom ceiling. First thing I did was call the OP to ask for another room and was told I couldn't switch but someone would fix it. After they fixed the ceiling they left the bathroom ceiling tiles non-presentable, painting damaged and ceiling looking disgusting with dry paint extending from tiles. However, I did not bother to complain about ceiling. The next day waking up to urinate I looked at the bathroom floor to see a puddle of of water. After drying the floor with a floor towel and beginning urinate I began feeling drips on my head. So I called the OP and someone fixed the ceiling again. Sunday the ceiling drips again , I called and they fixed the ceiling and was told to not leave the balcony door open because that may be causing the leak. However I never left it open and the Bathroom ceiling leaked again throughout the Monday. On Tuesday the bathroom ceiling was leaking too much for my tolerance so I called the operator and they brought someone up to fix the issue. When I arrived to my room again the ceiling looked *** and STILL LEAKING. I decided to go to the front desk and spoke to Manager: 'ISRAEL RIVERA GUZMAN'. After telling him the story, he asked me why I waited so long to report it and told me I will not get partial refund at all which I deserved. He said he will do a investigation (locking my balcony door) and get back to me which he didn't. NEVER COMING BACK HERE!

Beware of Krystal timeshare scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Just got back from cancun and overall was very nice the tours but i mistakenly enrolled with this guys did not think because it was so good saved all year to get this vacations now i am broke paid 1085 for the contract and 1100 the down and they are calling for 1576. and i havent had the ice discount at front until the 45 days. Did any body got their money back? they dont explain about the broker and the additional fee for the ice. to me they give me the ice life time still not feel comfortable with this decision • Reply to This Message On May 17, 2016, my husband and I attended one of the “90-minute” sales presentations hosted by Krystal Resorts, Cancun. We are both educated and intelligent people who have attended such presentations in the past, but when weighing the costs-vs-benefits of time-share ownership, have always opted out of committing to ownership. In this case, however, our salesman German made a very compelling presentation based upon a “vacation package” offered exclusively by Krystal Resorts called the ICE Rewards program. According to German, if we purchased a time share condo with Krystal Resorts, we could also purchase a lifetime membership in the ICE Rewards program for $875. He assured us that this program offers guaranteed lowest rates on airfare (40% off the lowest published rates), cruises (50% off lowest published rates) and hotels ($199 per week if booked one-month or less in advance, and $399 per week if booked three months out from travel). When queried about what hotels this included, we were informed that it included all the international hotels listed on the ICE website (per German this included the Hilton, Hyatt and Radisson). We asked him to show us what hotels specifically were available for $199 in London, England at that particular week and he pulled up a long list of hotels comparable to those listed on Hotels.com. This offer had great appeal to me as I book a great deal of student travel and getting the guaranteed lowest rate would be beneficial to my job. I had no interest in the timeshare contract, however, and indicated this quite clearly to the sales staff. German informed us that the ICE program was only available if we purchased a time share studio at Krystal resorts for $18,000 for 25 weeks of rental and with an annual maintenance fee of $625. The full contract was for 25 years at one vacation week per year, but we were given the option to rent up to five weeks annually through their rental agency Latitude 21. We were guaranteed that IF the condo rented, we would receive $1,250 per week of rental ($6,250 – the annual maintenance of $625, per German’s math or $5,625). According to German, the cost of the time-share would pay for itself in rental income. I was concerned by the verbiage of our contract (section 8) which indicated that maintenance fees must be paid in advance for each week of rental. When I specifically asked German, what happens to the 20 remaining weeks of maintenance fees if we rent or use all 25 weeks of our timeshare in the first five years, he assured us that “it goes away.” I clarified, “you mean we don’t have to pay it?” and he assented that this was correct. I also asked if we could book up to nine rooms simultaneously in one year, say for a destination wedding and he assured me this would be no problem. After clarifying the muddied sections of the contract verbally with the salesman, we signed in good faith. We were never informed of how we might extricate ourselves if we had a change of heart on the contract. Less than two weeks after signing a contract with Krystal, we were contacted by the listing agent and asked to pay the “listing fee of $675.” To date, there is no evidence that the condo has ever been listed for rental. Our ICE Rewards program did not activate until 51 days after we signed our contract (over a week later than promised). All aspects of the sales pitch were a lie. The ICE Rewards program can be purchased separately on an annual basis for just a few hundred dollars a year. It does not offer hotel rooms for $199 and $399 per week in major cities across the globe, nor are the rates any cheaper than Hotels.com or Cheapoair.com. It has a handful of bargain hotels (six when I looked in July) that were offered at comparable low rates, in undesirable locations like Grenada and Gatlinburg, TN. In fact, in comparison, the rates at the same hotel for the same period in London, England were $15 per night higher on the ICE web site than at Hotels.com. When I pointed this out to the ICE customer service staff, they made no effort to match the price but did finally acknowledge my right to withdraw from the program since I was within the ten-day trial period. I was not so lucky with the Krystal Resort customer service staff. When I pointed out the deception involved with their sales tactics they simply said that I “signed a contract.” I then requested to book nine rooms for January 2017 per my contract in order to extricate myself from the time share as soon as possible. I was told that I could only book nine rooms if there was availability and that I only had priority booking for one room. Furthermore, I would have to pay the $625 maintenance fee nine years in advance to reserve the rooms that I could not be guaranteed. So, German’s assurance that using my weeks in advance would cause my maintenance fee to “go away” was also false. After doing my own math given this situation, I determined that I would be paying Krystal Resorts $200 a year to not use the condominium, assuming that I would be able to rent it regularly, which is doubtful. When I requested to quit claim deed the condo back to Krystal and walk away from the $6000 I had already sunk into the down payment and closing costs, they informed me that my contract said I was responsible for 40% of the remaining cost of the time share or an additional $7200. It is my interpretation that by international law, a contract is only binding if both parties understand the stipulations of the contract and any explanation involves complete disclosure on the part of the contractor. If deception is used to misrepresent the articles of the contract, the contract is no longer binding. I would assert that Krystal Resorts used deception and fraudulent sales tactics to trick me into signing a contract that I did not fully understand. When I asked specifically for clarification, I was given deliberate misinformation. I fully intend to sue the company for its fraudulent business practices and warn anyone considering purchasing a time-share with Krystal of the dangers of working with this company. Certainly, do not purchase a condominium only to join the ICE Rewards program, however, as you would be far better off with the cheap annual membership than committing to a lifetime membership with time-share strings attached.

I hate to hear it happened to you We had the same problem and the same lies told to us. We have not been able to find any way out of the contract so far still costing us $175. Per month for something we have never used and now they want $875 in maintenance fees.

Do not continue to pay on this contract. You will never rent your condo as the listing agency is a front with no real address or human contact.

We received our money back for payment of listing fees by our credit card company and contract fees that Krystal could not document adequately.

You can stop payment on this purchase at any time and they will send a collection agency (affiliated with Krystal and based in Arizona) after you. Simply inform the collection agency in writing that you do not want to be contacted by them and by law they must desist. We stopped paying them over a year ago and have not had any negative feedback on our credit report.

We did pursue this matter with the Mexican version of the BBB and have challenged the 40% penalty for breech of contract. Krystal has countered several times and is now willing to accept a 10% penalty for breech of contract, but I have no intention of paying them another penny.

We contacted a lawyer in the U.S. who suggested that a lawsuit might in fact be very risky as it would seem Krystal may in fact be a money laundering operation for the drug cartels.

It certainly seems to be protected by the Mexican government. He did not want us to return to Cancun for any reason.

Fraud !!!

1. Michael, our salesperson promised us a code number that we will be able to put in at any airfare ticket sites on the internet as a whole seller and therefore getting discounts on air fare for up to “65% of the original price” (according to him). He even showed us a demo of how he goes to a site name Kayak and on the bottom of the site, they had a place where you needed to put this code in and to get a discount of more than 50% on the list price. BOTH ME AND MY WIFE SAW THIS WITH OUR OWN EYES. Since then, we constantly were asking thousands of times for this code only to find out that this was a LIE.( LIE#1) 2. The reason that we purchased this timeshare was for an INVESTMENT ONLY. Michael approached us with this deal as an investment. We discussed with Eduardo the same fact and so did we with you. We had nor do we have now a reason to purchase a timeshare for our own use. 3. At the discussion, Michael and afterwards Eduardo have told us specifically that once we sign the contract with you, Continental Corporation has already rented the room for the rest of the season therefore we will be paid the sum of $21,000 on November 1, 2012 (LIE #2). 4. At the discussion about Concord Corporation, it was mentioned by Michael “YOU DON’T NEED TO DO ANYTHING, THEY DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU”. After we spoke to Concord Corporation, we understood the reality that Concord’s only function is to advertise the availability of the unit, and even that has to be paid by us. A fact that was never mentioned (LIE#3)!!! 5. Lloyds Corporation in England has nothing to do with this transaction. THE LLOYDS CORPORATION WHICH YOU REFERRED US IN THE TRANSACTION HAS ITS MAIN OFFICE IN PANAMA CITY AND IS A COMPANY OF SHARLETAN’S THAT PROMISED US A GAIN OF 23% RETURN ON MY INVESTMENT EVERY YEAR. Something that everybody knows is a FRAUD after Berney Madoff’s scam !!! (LIE#4) 6. We discussed this issue with the United States Council in Cancun and the Mexican council in New York City. Both of them are aware of your scam and are currently working on a legal way to put a stop to it!

Change from order STOLEN

I visited the Krystals in Troy on January 11, 2013 at 1:30 a.m. it was a black male who took my order. My order total was $5.33 and I gave him $10.35, he handed me back two pennies and a receipt. I blowed my horn to get his attention to let him know I did not receive my $5.00 bill back but he turned the corner. So when he came back to give me my food, I let him know that I did not receive my $5.00 He got defensive and said, "I did give it back to you". We looked on the ground and everywhere but nowhere was my $5.00 bill. The manager asked me to pull up so she could count the draw. After a few minutes she came out and apologized and said that they did not find any overage in his drawer. The manager I want to state is a very nice lady whom I have known for many, many years. However, her not finding the money came as no surprise to me because the 5.00 is in his pocket. Krystal has a thief working for them and I will let everyone I can think of, know about this so they will not have their money stolen from them as well. I have worked at the same job for over 10 years, and I deal with "major" money each day. Never have I had any shortage or any type of wrong doing with the company money. It is a shame that this guy stole $5.00 from me and acted like I was the criminal. I seriously believed that Krystal need to look into this guy background, because I am sure it is some questionable items there. This is a bad look for your company. Krystal is across from my work place so I eat there from time to time, but NEVER again. I work hard for my money, and it is not right to have it took away from someone who steals and treat the customer like they are in the wrong. If this guy got away with stealing from me then he probably has stole from many, many more people. I will let all my family, friends, co-workers, business associates, church members, neighbors, and social media followers know... if you do not want your money stolen do not go to Krystal in Troy, Alabama... I repeat DO NOT go to Krystals in Troy, Alabama.

The word is DRAWER, not DRAW.

Second, calling someone a thief and accusing them of stealing without proof on the internet no less is grounds for a lawsuit. This man can sue you for libel you know.

Unless you SAW him put your $5 in his pocket you have no proof he stole anything. Are you sure he did not give you your $5 with the receipt?

Most places have cameras these days to protect the workers. The manager probably watched it when she counted the drawer.
